Rev. Shawn Hornsby
Pastor of McGuire Methodist Church
Rev. Hornsby brings with him 16 years of ministry experience (Natchitoches area, Lake Charles, Winnsboro, West Monroe, and Monroe) with 12 of those years in the West Monroe and Monroe area. His undergraduate training was at Northwestern (B.A. Political Science with Speech Minor), and his Masters of Divinity was earned at Asbury Theological Seminary. He is known for his Bible-based preaching in both traditional and contemporary settings. Rev. Hornsby has extensive experience in youth, young adult, small group, and missions (several foreign countries as well as domestic). He has been married to Courtney for 24 years, and they have three children: Peyton (19, ULM), Emily (17, WMHS), and Cooper (13, West Ridge). He and his family live in West Monroe near McGuire. Courtney continues a long career of service in city government and presently serves as the Chief of Staff for the Mayor of West Monroe. Rev. Hornsby is involved with a variety of community and civic organizations.
